Job summary

Accura Engineering and Consulting Services, Inc. in Fort Hood, TX is seeking a Structural Engineer to provide professional support for federal construction projects.

The role includes evaluating structural integrity, reviewing designs, and ensuring compliance with codes and project requirements. The ideal candidate has a PE license, at least five years of experience, and familiarity with RMS and large federal facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering or related field.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• Minimum 5 years' experience as a Structural Engineer.
• Experience on federal, USACE, DoD, or large federal construction projects preferred.
• Experience with foundation analysis, buildings, roads, bridges, dams, and other structures preferred.
• Experience with federal facilities including administrative buildings, airfield facilities, and multi-use facilities preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate structural integrity of facilities.
• Review and approve design plans submitted by design team.
• Ensure compliance with building codes and regulations.
• Provide recommendations for structural enhancements.
• Conduct site visits to monitor progress.
• Attend project meetings and provide updates on structural aspects.
• Provide QA oversight and corrective actions.
• Assist in enforcing contractual provisions for structural deliverables.
• Document contractor progress and report construction activities.
