Accura Engineering and Consulting Services, Inc. seeks a Structural Engineer for Fort Hood, TX. You will evaluate structural integrity, review designs, and ensure compliance with building codes across federal construction projects.

Regular site visits and coordination with government personnel, designers, and contractors are required. The role requires a PE license, a minimum of five years of experience, and experience with heavy civil or DoD facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in structural engineering or related field.
• PE license required.
• Minimum 5 years as Structural Engineer.
• Experience on federal/USACE/DoD projects preferred.
• Experience with foundation analysis, buildings, roads, bridges, dams, and other structures preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate the structural integrity of facilities.
• Review and recommend for approval structural design plans submitted by the design team.
• Ensure compliance with relevant building codes and regulations.
• Provide recommendations for structural enhancements, if necessary.
• Conduct regular site visits to monitor the progress of structural work.
• Verify that construction activities align with approved design plans.
• Address and resolve any structural issues that may arise during construction.
• Collaborate with the construction team to ensure adherence to safety standards.
• Attend project meetings to provide updates on structural aspects.
• Participate in design reviews and provide comments on contractor-submitted designs.
• Provide quality assurance oversight and recommend corrective actions for project performance.
• Provide safety oversight and support corrective actions to ensure worker/public safety.
• Assist in interpreting and enforcing contractual provisions regarding structural requirements.
• Document contractor progress and provide reports regarding construction activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
