Whitman, Requardt & Associates, LLP in Richmond, VA seeks experienced Structural Engineers to join its Structural/Marine Group. You will perform structural analysis and design for diverse building types, conduct field investigations, and contribute to construction documents for Federal/local government, industrial, and manufacturing projects.

The team emphasizes mentoring, collaboration, and staff development.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of structural design experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering with Structural Concentration from an ABET-accredited program.
• Experience with structural design and analysis software (RISA, STAAD).
• Experience with drafting and modeling software (Revit and AutoCAD).
• Knowledge of building codes and standards (IBC, ASCE, ACI).
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and design for a variety of building types and materials.
• Conduct field investigations, develop concept designs, and create construction documents for clients across markets including Federal/Local Government, Industrial, and Manufacturing.
