Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a senior subject matter expert within our Data Center team to lead structural engineering across a portfolio of data center projects, including new builds and retrofits.

This role blends technical authority with client-facing leadership, mentoring junior staff, guiding design delivery, and shaping the execution strategy to deliver high-performance, constructible solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil or Structural Engineering required.
• 15+ years of professional structural engineering experience.
• Registered Professional Engineer (PE) with ability to become registered in additional states.
• Experience with CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation, S3D).
• Experience with structural analysis software (RISA, RamSS, STAAD).
• Knowledge of industry design codes and standards (ACI, AISC, ASCE 7, Building Codes).
• Proficiency with MS Office and MS Teams for remote coordination.

• Lead structural engineering efforts across data center projects (new builds and retrofits).
• Mentor structural leads and support project execution with clients and management.
