Job summary

Jacobs seeks a Senior Subject Matter Expert to lead structural engineering for data center projects, including new builds and retrofits. You will guide technical direction, collaborate with diverse teams, and mentor staff while communicating with clients and management.

The role is heavily client-facing with opportunities to influence design strategy, governance, and delivery methods across projects, including Design-Build. A flexible arrangement supports hybrid work across U.S. locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• 15+ years of professional experience in structural engineering.
• Registered Professional Engineer; ability to become licensed in additional states.
• Experience with AutoCad, Revit, MicroStation and S3D.
• Knowledge of ACI, AISC, ASCE 7 and related design codes.

Responsibilities

• Lead structural engineering efforts across a portfolio of data center projects.
• Mentor both junior and senior staff; coordinate with clients and upper management.
• Direct project execution within Design-Build delivery and ensure constructible, code-compliant designs.
