Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a senior subject matter expert in the Data Center team to lead structural engineering across a portfolio of data center projects, including new builds and retrofits. You will drive the technical direction and ensure solutions meet performance and constructability standards.

This role is heavily client- and contractor-facing, requiring strong communication, mentorship of junior staff, and coordination with engineering teams to guide design delivery and the Design-Build method.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• 15+ years of professional experience in structural engineering.
• Registered Professional Engineer with the ability to become registered in additional states.

Responsibilities

• Lead a portfolio of data center structural engineering projects.
• Mentor structural leads and coordinate with clients and upper management.
• Guide design strategy and delivery for Design-Build projects.
• Perform complex structural analyses and ensure code-compliant, constructible designs.
• Oversee calculations for member design, foundations, and schedules.
