Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a senior subject matter expert in our Data Center team to lead structural engineering across data center projects, including new builds and retrofits. You will guide technical direction, mentor teams, and collaborate with clients and upper management to deliver high-performance designs.

The role is heavily client-facing with opportunities to expand technical authority and leadership presence while benefiting from a hybrid work policy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil or Structural Engineering and PE license.
• 15+ years of structural engineering experience on large projects.
• Proven leadership of technical teams and client-facing delivery.

Responsibilities

• Lead structural engineering efforts across data center projects, including new builds and retrofits.
• Mentor structural leads and coordinate with cross-functional teams and clients.
• Develop design strategies, guide delivery, and ensure code compliance and constructability.
• Communicate project status to clients and upper management; govern schedules and documentation.
