Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a senior subject matter expert in our Data Center team to lead structural engineering across a portfolio of data center projects, including new builds and retrofits.

The role involves steering technical direction, mentoring junior staff, and coordinating with clients and upper management to address design, construction, and delivery challenges. The position is hybrid with global collaboration opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• 15+ years of professional structural engineering experience.
• Registered Professional Engineer with the ability to become licensed in additional states.
• Proficiency with CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation, S3D).
• Experience with structural analysis software (RISA, RamSS, STAAD).
• Knowledge of ACI, AISC, ASCE 7 and related design codes.

Responsibilities

• Lead structural engineering efforts across a portfolio of data center projects.
• Mentor and guide junior staff and coordinate with clients and upper management.
• Direct project execution, influence design strategy, and ensure constructible solutions.
• Support Design-Build delivery and maintain delivery excellence across projects.
