Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a senior subject matter expert within our Data Center team to lead structural engineering across a portfolio of data center projects, including new builds and retrofits, and drive technical direction.

The role is heavily client- and contractor-facing, blending technical authority with collaboration across diverse teams, while mentoring engineers and shaping delivery through our Design-Build approach.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• 15+ years of professional experience in structural engineering.
• Registered Professional Engineer with multi-state eligibility.
• Experience with hyperscale data center design is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead structural engineering efforts across a portfolio of data center projects.
• Mentor junior staff and coordinate with clients and upper management.
• Oversee complex analyses and ensure code compliant designs.
• Support Design-Build delivery methodology adoption.
