Job summary

Jabil is seeking a Principal Structural Engineer to join the Data Center Infrastructure team. You will lead structural design and analysis for data center modules, frames, racks, and support systems, aligning with IBC, ASCE 7, AISC and industry standards.

The role spans from early design through factory integration, DFMA, and field installation, with a focus on modular construction, repeatability across programs, and close collaboration with BIM, MEP, and manufacturing teams.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressive structural engineering experience.
• PE license is required.
• Experience with modular construction or factory-built data center infrastructure is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead gravity, wind, seismic, and vibration analyses for modules, frames, racks, and support structures per code.
• Collaborate with BIM, MEP, and manufacturing teams to deliver compliant, production-ready designs.
• Develop DFMEA documentation to identify structural risks and mitigation strategies.
• Review shop drawings and fabrication details for MDCs and equipment support structures.
• Mentor junior engineers and lead design reviews.
