Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a senior subject matter expert within the Data Center team to lead structural engineering across a portfolio of data center projects, including new builds and retrofits. You will set the technical direction, ensuring performance and constructability across challenging facilities.

This role is heavily client- and contractor-facing, blending technical authority with collaboration across diverse teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• 15+ years of professional experience in structural engineering.
• Registered Professional Engineer with multi-state eligibility.
• Knowledge of CAD software including AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality reviews of complex projects.
• Lead complex structural analyses and guide method selection for robust, code-compliant designs.
• Develop and validate advanced structural computer models, establish modeling standards, mentor team members in simulations.
• Oversee calculations for member design and foundations, manage material take-offs and project schedules and ensure cross-discipline coordination.
