Job summary

TYLin is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to join our Buildings team in Rochester, NY. You will perform structural design and analysis for a range of buildings, including steel, concrete, masonry, and historic structures, and assist in drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities include site investigations, coordinating with staff and clients, and contributing to innovative, sustainable building solutions while upholding high ethical standards and collaboration across a diverse team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural/Architectural Engineering required.
• 3–6 years of experience in structural design for buildings.
• PE preferred; SE license would be asset; historic buildings experience a plus.
• Proficiency with structural software and REVIT.

Responsibilities

• Structural design and analysis for a wide range of buildings (steel, concrete, masonry, wood).
• Assist in preparation of drawings and specifications.
• Conduct site investigations to document existing conditions.
• Coordinate with staff and clients on projects.
