Job summary

TYLin is seeking a Project Structural Engineer for our Buildings team in Rochester, NY. You will perform structural design and analysis for diverse building projects, touching on steel, concrete, masonry, wood, and historic structures. You will assist in drawings/specs and conduct site investigations to document existing conditions.

The role requires 3–6 years in building projects, a Civil/Structural/Architectural Engineering degree, and knowledge of REVIT and analysis software. P.E./S.E.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil, Structural, or Architectural Engineering.
• Master’s Degree would be considered an asset.
• P.E. license preferred; S.E. license would be considered an asset.
• 3–6 years of experience in execution of residential, commercial, or institutional buildings as a Structural Engineer.
• Experience in historic buildings preservation would be an asset.
• Proficiency with computer analysis software (RISA, SAP, RAM).
• Working knowledge of REVIT.

Responsibilities

• Structural design and analysis for a wide range of buildings projects, involving steel, concrete, masonry, wood, and archaic building systems.
• Assisting in the preparation of drawings and specifications.
• Conducting site investigations to document existing conditions.
• Coordinating with staff and clients on projects
