Job summary

TYLin in Rochester, NY, is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to join the Buildings team. You will perform structural design and analysis across diverse building types using steel, concrete, masonry, and wood, and contribute to drawings, specs, and site investigations.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural/Architectural Engineering, 3–6 years of relevant experience, and proficiency with REVIT and analysis software (RISA/SAP/RAM). PE license preferred; SE license a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil, Structural, or Architectural Engineering.
• Master’s Degree would be considered an asset.
• P.E. license preferred; S.E. license would be considered an asset.
• 3-6 years of experience in structural engineering for buildings (residential, commercial or institutional).
• Experience in historic buildings preservation is an asset.
• Proficiency with structural analysis software (RISA, SAP, RAM) and REVIT.

Job Summary

TYLin's Buildings team brings creativity and technical excellence to new and existing buildings around the world. Our primary services, structural engineering for buildings, include new construction projects, as well as renovation, adaptive reuse, and historic preservation. Within that broad range, we offer further expertise in specific services including architectural services, code consulting, façade engineering, lightweight structures, and construction support services. We are seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to join our TYLin | Buildings team in Rochester, New York.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Structural design and analysis for a wide range of buildings projects, involving steel, concrete, masonry, wood, and archaic building systems.
• Assisting in the preparation of drawings and specifications.
• Conducting site investigations to document existing conditions.
• Coordinating with staff and clients on projects

QUALIFICATIONS (INCLUDING EDUCATION and/or JOB EXPERIENCE)

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil, Structural, or Architectural Engineering.
• Master’s Degree would be considered an asset.
• P.E. license preferred; S.E. license would be considered an asset.
• 3-6 years of experience in the execution of residential, commercial, or institutional buildings projects as a Structural Engineer is required.
• Experience in historic buildings preservation would be considered an asset.
• Proficiency with computer analysis software (e.g. RISA, SAP, RAM).
• Working knowledge of REVIT.

Additional Information

Additional Information TYLin is committed to pay equity. As part of that commitment, we have provided the base compensation range of$100,000-$110,000 annually for this position and local market. We recognize that each candidate brings a unique set of skills, experience, education and competencies to the table that will be reflected in our offer.
