Burns & McDonnell in US-CA-Brea seeks a Senior Architect to lead project teams across corporate, healthcare, data centers, airports, and governmental facilities. You will guide design from concept to completion, develop production drawings, manage schedules and budgets, and ensure QA/QC across projects.

You will mentor staff, coordinate with field teams, and cultivate client relationships while exploring new business opportunities. Travel involvement is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in architecture from NAAB accredited program.
• 8+ years related experience; registered architect preferred.
• Portfolio demonstrating design and graphic presentation skills.
• Expert knowledge of building codes, ADA standards, exterior envelope design, detailing, and specification writing.
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to lead design teams.
• Proficient in BIM (Revit), Adobe Creative Suite, and 3D rendering software.
• Ability to travel.

Responsabilités

• Lead architectural design from conceptual phase to design completion for diverse project types.
• Develop, modify, and review production drawings for healthcare facilities, airports, education institutions, and governmental/military facilities.
• Participate in project scheduling, scope, budget, staffing, construction planning; manage change orders.
• Quality review production drawings to verify design compliance with standards.
• Lead field inspections and measurements; coordinate with field personnel.
• Prepare technical reports for clients and industry publications.
• Build relationships with clients, customers and contractors; pursue new business opportunities.
• Lead cost proposals, qualification statements, project budgets and cost estimates; report performance.
• Mentor less experienced engineers; ensure QA/QC adherence.
• Ensure effective communication with other architectural teams and safety policies.
