Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking an experienced structural designer to develop steel and concrete drawings in a 3-D model. You will utilize SmartPlant S3D and SPF to produce deliverables, BOMs, and catalogs, and lead coordination across design phases.

Mentorship of junior drafters will be expected as part of this role. The position requires 10+ years of detailed design in structural plant drawings, with proficiency in 3D layout tools.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of detailed design experience in the development of structural plant design drawings (steel & concrete).
• Proficiency with design software tools for 3D plant layout models.
• Experience reviewing structural layouts and vendor drawings; interfacing with multi-discipline teams.

Responsibilities

• Under the Structural Project Lead, develop structural steel and reinforced concrete drawings in 3-D model.
• Use SmartPlant S3D and SPF database to generate deliverables, BOMs, and catalogs.
• Lead coordination of detailed design phases for the structural model; resolve clashes and report status.
