Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking an experienced Mechanical Designer to develop detailed 3-D plant layouts and lead the design of mechanical systems within a multi-disciplinary team. You will create general arrangements and piping drawings, supervise others, and coordinate with engineering and design teammates to ensure timely deliverables.

The role emphasizes senior-level drafting work, 3D modeling proficiency, and collaboration with engineers across disciplines in a nuclear or large-scale power

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in drafting or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Work with multi-disciplined teams to develop mechanical 3-D layout drawings.
• Lead mechanical design coordination across detail design phases.
• Provide guidance to junior designers and drafters
• Plan and execute general arrangements, piping isometrics, piping composites, pipe supports and equipment location drawings
• Possibly conduct field walkdowns and data gathering at client facilities
• Review mechanical equipment outlines and interface points and develop deliverables
