Job summary

SSOE is seeking a Senior Structural Designer to lead design development for industrial and complex commercial projects. You will produce finished plans, coordinate with multi-discipline teams, and mentor junior staff in a mentorship-driven culture.

This role emphasizes BIM collaboration, cost control, and adherence to schedules across multiple US locations. Travel and a valid driver’s license are required; experience with data center or pharmaceutical projects is preferred.

Qualifications

Minimum fifteen (15) years experience with SSOE as a Designer or nineteen (19) years experience with former employer(s).
Working knowledge of BIM collaboration and review platforms including ACC/BIM360, Bluebeam, and Navisworks.
Experience on Industrial and Manufacturing building projects is mandatory.
Experience on Data Center and/or Pharmaceutical projects is preferred.

Responsibilities

Interprets, organizes, executes and coordinates medium assignments with budget adherence and inter-discipline coordination.
Produces finished plans and specifications and final acceptance of major items.
Completes work on major engineering/architectural projects or smaller/moderate scope projects.
May act as job captain on single or multi-discipline projects.
Travel required. Valid driver’s license required.
