Job summary

SSOE is seeking a Senior Structural Designer to join our multidisciplinary team across industrial and commercial projects. You’ll interpret and coordinate design work, manage budgets, and deliver finished construction documents with strong BIM collaboration.

Travel and leadership within projects are expected as you mentor junior staff. The role emphasizes experience with industrial/manufacturing facilities, data centers, and pharmaceutical projects, using ACC/BIM360, Bluebeam, and Navisworks.

Qualifications

• Minimum fifteen (15) years experience with SSOE as a Designer or nineteen (19) years experience with former employer(s).
• Working knowledge of BIM collaboration and review platforms including ACC/BIM360, Bluebeam, and Navisworks.
• Experience on Industrial and Manufacturing building projects is mandatory.
• Experience on Data Center and/or Pharmaceutical projects is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interprets, organizes, executes and coordinates medium assignments with the overall responsibility for budget adherence, quality control and inter-discipline coordination.
• Makes decisions independently on design problems and methods, with input from project leadership on unusual problems.
• Produces finished plans and specifications and final acceptance or rejection of major items.
