Job summary

SSOE is seeking a Senior Structural Designer to join our design teams on industrial and commercial projects nationwide. The role emphasizes leadership in design decisions, coordination across disciplines, and timely delivery of plans and specifications within budget.

You will work with BIM and AI-enabled workflows, mentor junior staff, and travel to project sites as required. Experience with data centers or pharmaceutical facilities is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum fifteen (15) years experience with SSOE as a Designer; nineteen (19) years total experience considered.
• Associate degree or completion of engineering/architectural training preferred.
• Experience on Industrial and Manufacturing building projects is mandatory.
• Data Center and/or Pharmaceutical project experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interprets, organizes, executes and coordinates design assignments with budget and quality control.
• Makes independent design decisions; may consult on complex problems with leadership.
• Produces finished plans and specifications and evaluates construction results.
• May manage project budgets and scope changes; may serve as job captain on single or multi-discipline projects.
