Job summary

Sargent & Lundy in Minneapolis, MN is seeking a Senior Structural Designer to join our Nuclear Power Group. You will develop structural layout drawings in a 3D model and lead multi-disciplinary teams through detailed design phases of an integrated structural design model.

You will mentor less experienced drafters, coordinate with engineering disciplines, and help solve complex structural issues, including foundations and supports.

Qualifications

• Requires Associate’s Degree in drafting or equivalent experience
• 10+ years detailed design in structural steel and reinforced concrete drawings
• Proficiency with 3D modeling for plant layout and structures
• Experience reviewing structural layouts for steel frames, connections, and foundations
• Ability to interface with multidisciplinary engineering teams

Responsibilities

• Develop structural layout drawings in a 3D model
• Lead the structural design team through detailed design phases
• Coordinate with other disciplines to ensure integrated design
