Turner & Townsend in the United States is seeking a Structural Design Lead to work with our team and partner with clients, delivering data centre projects with a focus on robust mechanical and electrical systems.

The role requires leadership in MEP design, coordination with design consultants, and strong client-facing communication to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery while advancing energy efficiency and resilience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Experience leading MEP design on large-scale data centre or mission-critical facilities.
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam and MS Office.
• Experience overseeing MEP contract documents from third-party design consultants.
• Excellent client-facing presentation skills and cross-team collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical and mechanical design leadership across project phases.
• Coordinate with Owner/Client, consultants and contractors to keep design on schedule.
• Ensure high-quality client service, guidance on energy-efficient systems.
• Prepare and maintain project documentation, reports, submittals, and minutes.
• Manage external design consultants and ensure contract documents meet budget and standards.
• Communicate design standards and maintain Basis of Design documents.
• Assist procurement through vendor submittals and tests.
• Stay current with industry advances and apply best practices.
