Job summary

Sargent & Lundy's Nuclear Power Group seeks a Structural Engineering Senior Consultant to lead a team of engineers, coordinate with clients, and manage diverse projects advancing carbon-free nuclear energy. The role requires deep expertise in structural design, codes, and mentoring within a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• BSCE with emphasis in Structural Engineering from an ABET-accredited program preferred.
• 20+ years in design/analysis of industrial/heavy commercial or nuclear facility structures.
• PE or SE license is required.
• Proficiency with structural analysis software and design codes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Guide a team of structural engineers and interface with clients.
• Direct preparation and review of design calculations, specs, and reports.
• Mentor teammates and oversee quality of engineering deliverables.
• Perform structural analysis and design of steel frames, connections, concrete members, and foundations.
• Travel to client/vendor offices and plant sites for reviews and field verification.
