Job summary

STV Incorporated is seeking a Structural (Bridge) Engineer to join our Carolinas Bridge practice. This hybrid role may be located in Columbia, Rock Hill, or Charleston, SC offices, with consideration for other SC locations for qualified candidates.

The successful candidate will manage projects, perform analysis and design, and support business development efforts within a growing Carolinas Bridge Group. Requirements include a Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering (Master’s preferred), 5+ years of

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering; Master’s degree preferred but not required.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive design experience on structural engineering projects.
• Extensive highway structure experience in South Carolina with Seismic analysis; Alternative Delivery experience is required.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license in South Carolina required.
• Solid structural analysis, load rating, and design skills with interdisciplinary know-how.

Responsibilities

• Manage projects involving bridge/structural design and restoration/rehabilitation.
• Provide analysis, design, and inspection of bridges and related structures.
• Lead technical proposals and contribute to client relations and business development.
• Serve as project manager or bridge design task lead as needed and sign/seal plans as Engineer of Record.
• Mentor junior staff and grow the South Carolina Bridge Group.
