Job summary

STV is seeking a Structural (Bridge) Director to lead the Carolinas Bridge Practice. Hybrid role in SC with locations in Columbia, Rock Hill, or Charleston; supervises design, inspection, and rehabilitation projects for highway and rail structures.

The role emphasizes client relations, business development, and mentoring of junior staff, with responsibility to grow a SC-based bridge group and oversee budgets and schedules.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering is required; Master’s degree preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive design experience on structural/bridge projects, seismic analysis experience.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license in South Carolina required; NBIS certification a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage projects involving bridge/structural design and rehabilitation.
• Provide analysis, design, and inspection of bridges and related structures.
• Lead structural design on transportation projects and mentor junior staff.
• Develop budgets, schedules, and client service plans; drive business development.
