Job summary
STV seeks a Structural (Bridge) Engineer to join our Carolinas Bridge practice. Hybrid role in Columbia, Rock Hill, or Charleston, SC, with flexible location in other SC offices for strong candidates.
Work includes management, analysis, design, and inspection of highway and rail bridges, sign and seal plans as Engineer of Record, and mentoring junior staff. PE license in SC required; 5+ years of design experience and seismic knowledge preferred.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required; master's preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of progressive design experience on structural projects with seismic analysis.
- Professional Engineer license in South Carolina required; SCDOT/NCDOT/GDOT/rail experience is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Manage projects involving bridge/structural design and inspections.
- Provide analysis, design, and inspection of bridges and related structures.
- Lead structural design efforts and act as Engineer of Record as needed.
- Mentor junior staff and grow a SC-based Bridge Group.
- Develop budgets, schedules, and client service plans for delivery.
