Job summary

STV is seeking a Structural (Bridge) Director to join our Carolinas Bridge practice. This hybrid role may be located in Columbia, Rock Hill, or Charleston, SC with consideration for other SC locations for qualified candidates.

The Director will manage and lead bridge design and inspection projects, grow the SC-based Bridge Group, mentor staff, and collaborate with clients to win work. PE license in SC and 10+ years of experience required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required; seismic analysis experience preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of progressive design experience on structural projects; SC highway experience required.
• PE license in South Carolina required; NBIS/maintenance experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage bridge/structural design projects and, where needed, bridge maintenance inspections.
• Provide analysis, design, and inspection of bridges and related structures.
• Lead, mentor, and develop junior staff and grow a SC-based Bridge Group.
• Develop budgets, schedules, proposals, and client service plans.
