Job summary

STV Incorporated seeks a Structural (Bridge) Engineer to join the Carolinas Bridge practice in a hybrid role located in Columbia, Rock Hill, or Charleston, SC. The candidate will manage bridge projects, perform analysis and design, and interact with clients to grow the SC bridge group.

The role requires at least 5 years of progressive design experience, SC SEISMIC analysis, and a PE license in SC, with NBIS and maintenance inspection experience considered a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering; PE license in SC required.
• Minimum 5 years of progressive design experience on structural/bridge projects.
• Extensive highway structure experience in SC, including seismic analysis.
• NBIS maintenance inspection experience and rehabilitation/repair expertise is a plus.
• SCDOT, NCDOT, GDOT experience, and/or rail experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage bridge/structural design projects and inspections.
• Sign and seal bridge plans as Engineer of Record.
• Lead design tasks and provide technical proposals.
• Mentor junior staff and grow SC bridge group.
• Coordinate with clients and project teams to meet schedules and budgets.
