Job summary

United Launch Alliance, LLC. is seeking a Strength Analyst in Alabama to perform strength, fatigue and fracture analysis on propulsion and mechanical systems. You will create models, perform hand calculations, review layouts, and make design recommendations based on analysis results.

The role requires a Bachelor's in engineering and at least 4 years of related experience, with strong teamwork and MS Office skills. US person expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical field.
• Minimum of 4 years of related work experience.
• Experience with structural analysis and fatigue/fracture concepts.
• Proficiency with MS Office tools.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform strength, fatigue and fracture analysis of structural components.
• Create analysis models and perform hand calculations.
• Review 3-D layouts, models, drawings for propulsion and mechanical systems.
• Make design recommendations based on analysis results.
• Document results in strength reports.
• Support peer reviews and design reviews.
• Assist with fast-paced design/analysis cycles and non-conformances.
• Mentor junior engineers.
