United Launch Alliance is seeking a Strength Analyst for Advanced Programs (AP) to develop and evaluate structural systems for Vulcan-Centaur and other launch vehicles. You will perform strength, fatigue and fracture analyses, create models and support design reviews.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, 4+ years of related experience, and proficiency with NASTRAN, NASGRO, FEMAP, NX, ABAQUS, Matlab and related tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related technical field from an accredited college or university.
• Experience or familiarity with structural analysis tools and methodologies.
• Ability to make design recommendations based on analysis results and experience.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to work in a team environment.

Responsabilités

• Performing strength, fatigue and fracture analysis of structural components, including non-linear analysis.
• Create analysis models, perform hand calculations and understand analysis best practices.
• Review and approve 3-D layouts, models, designs and drawings for propulsion, fluid, and mechanical components.
• Document analysis results in strength reports and support design reviews.
