Job summary

United Launch Alliance, LLC is seeking a Strength Analyst to support Vulcan Development activities including Centaur V on SLS for Artemis and Upper Stage Advancement. You will perform strength, fatigue and fracture analysis of structural components and review 3-D layouts.

The candidate will create analysis models, perform hand calculations and mentor junior engineers, contributing to fast-paced design and design reviews in a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical field from an accredited college or university.
• Ability to make design recommendations based on analysis results/experience.
• Proficiency with MS Office tools.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment are essential.

Responsibilities

• Support Vulcan Development activities including Centaur V on SLS in support of Artemis and Upper Stage Advancement long duration capabilities.
• Performing strength, fatigue and fracture analysis of structural components, including non-linear analysis.
• Review and approve 3-D engineering layouts, 3-D models, designs / drawings and 2-D drawing changes.
• Provide strength inputs and recommendations for new designs and installations.
• Document analysis results in strength reports.
