Job summary
Northrop Grumman Space sector seeks a Structural Analyst - Level 3 or 4 to join the MEP Team in Commerce, CA. Responsibilities include modeling metals, composites, and non-metallics, performing static/dynamic/fatigue/damage tolerance analyses, and communicating results to stakeholders.
The role requires FE analysis expertise (Abaqus, NX Nastran, Femap), experience with NASGRO, and ability to develop analysis methods and training packages. Travel up to 10% of time.
Qualifications
- Experience with finite element modeling, model checks, and troubleshooting errors.
- Experience in static, dynamic, fatigue, and damage tolerance analysis of composites and metals.
- Ability to interpret specs and define critical load cases for customer/industry requirements.
- Experience in writing technical reports and presenting data to stakeholders clearly.
- Experience with structural analysis methods and using calculation aids.
Responsibilities
- Analyze and develop structural models for metals, non-metals, and composites.
- Review performance specs and develop analysis plans.
- Perform static, dynamic, fatigue, and damage tolerance analyses.
