Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems in Palmdale, CA, seeks a Principal or Sr. Principal Structural Analysis Engineer for a 4/10 schedule. You will analyze metals, composites, and assemblies, perform MRB stress analyses, and ensure conformance to standards. Secret clearance is required for access to program data.

Responsibilities include leading analyses, verifying drawings, and communicating results to internal teams and customer reps. Proficiency with NX CAD, Femap, and NASTRAN is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in STEM and 5+ years experience, or Master’s with 3+ years, or PhD with 0+ years.
• Experience in Bonded Composite Structural Analysis and large Finite Element Models.

Responsibilities

• Provides stress MRB dispositions for primary and secondary structure.
• Reviews analyses, drawings, and repairs for accuracy and completeness.
• Coordinates with other disciplines during design solutions.
• Presents structural issues/solutions to management and customers.
