Northrop Grumman in Baltimore, MD seeks a Structural Design and Analysis Engineer (Level 2 or 3) to join our high-performance Space Systems team. You will engage in design, analysis, and testing of space hardware and related subsystems.

The role requires hands-on experience with Finite Element Methods, Patran/Nastran or FEMAP, and the ability to work onsite daily at Linthicum, MD. U.S. citizenship and SCI access are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field with 2 years of professional experience – OR – Master’s degree with 0 years of professional experience.
• Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Top Secret security clearance with SCI access.
• The ability to work onsite daily at the Linthicum, MD (Baltimore) facility.
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
• Experience developing Finite Element Models using Patran, FEMAP, or similar.

Responsibilities

• Develop Finite Element Models, run analyses, and interpret results.
• Prepare detailed reports and present findings at design reviews.
• Support design verification and test planning and execution.
• Collaborate with senior staff and cross-functional teams across engineering.
• Provide technical guidance to programs on structural activities.
