Job summary

Northrop Grumman Marine Systems is seeking Structural Engineers Level 3 or 4 in Ocean Spring, MS. You will develop finite element models and perform thorough analyses using Hypermesh, Nastran, Abaqus, and Matlab, reporting results to engineering teams.

This on-site role requires strong communication and the ability to obtain a US Secret clearance. Basic qualifications include STEM degrees and relevant experience; preferred tools include NX, Hypermesh, Nastran, Abaqus and Matlab, with a focus on

Qualifications

• Bachelor/Master/PhD in STEM with required years of experience as listed (5/3/0 for Level 3)
• Experience in structural analysis
• Ability to communicate technical ideas to peers and management
• US citizenship required and ability to obtain Secret clearance
• On-site work for a minimum of 4 days per week

Responsibilities

• Develop finite element models at component and system level using Hypermesh; post-process results with Hyperview, Matlab and Excel.
• Perform linear static, transient, vibration, modal, and frequency response analyses using Nastran and Abaqus.
