Job summary

Gulfstream Aerospace seeks a Senior Aircraft Component Repair Technician for Structures at the Savannah site. You will lead complex structural repairs, interpret technical data, and ensure airworthiness per SRM/AMM while coordinating with engineering and quality teams.

The role demands expert structural knowledge, strong leadership, and the ability to mentor other technicians. Expect multi-shift operation and active involvement in process improvements and on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; A&P license, FCC license, or NCATT cert preferred.
• Able to read and interpret blueprints, eng docs, CMP data, CBs and ASCs.
• 6 years experience in sheetmetal and/or hydraulic overhaul or related exp.
• Avionics/elect component repair; elect systems knowledge may offset some exp.
• APU removal, install, and service.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex repairs and damage assessments on aircraft structures and assemblies.
• Perform and oversee repairs to machined/mechanical and electrical assemblies per blueprints and manuals.
• Set up and operate test equipment for functional and operational tests on aircraft components.
• Inspect parts to ensure conformity with maintenance data and FAA Repair Station requirements.
• Repair and replace parts, including skins on flight controls and secondary structures, using approved methods.
• Apply soldering and coatings; use precision inspection tools to verify workmanship.
• Maintain repair station paperwork and facilitate training for other technicians.
• Lay out, fabricate, and repair major/minor structures using composite and honeycomb techniques.
