Job summary

Gulfstream Aerospace in Savannah, GA seeks an Aircraft Component Repair Technician I for Structures. Under close supervision, you will assist with repairing and overhauling aircraft assemblies and components, interpret SRM and AMM data, and support fabrication of simple structural parts.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, basic shop math, and a willingness to learn while complying with FAA Repair Station requirements.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required. Must possess basic understanding of shop math.
• Sheetmetal fabrication experience and/or hydraulic overhaul experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge and experience with electrical theory and wiring preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and apply basic skills in procedures, techniques, tools, materials and/or equipment relevant to structural repair.
• Perform repairs of mechanical and electrical assemblies and subassemblies per blueprints and maintenance data.
• Set up and operate test equipment to perform functional tests of mechanical and electrical components.
• Inspect detail parts to ensure conformity with maintenance data.
• Maintain required paperwork per FAA Repair Station requirements.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and comply with safety regulations.
