Job summary

Gulfstream Aerospace is seeking a Senior Aircraft Component Repair Technician at the Savannah (GAC Savannah) repair station to lead and perform advanced repairs on internal and external aircraft assemblies and components.

Responsibilities include inspecting parts, reading blueprints, and using precision tools to ensure conformance with maintenance manuals and FAA requirements. Travel up to 25% and full-time hours apply.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• A&P license, FCC license, or NCATT cert preferred.
• Ability to read & interpret blueprints, eng docs, CMP data, CBs and ASCs.
• Proficient in operation of all tools & equipment in dept.
• Basic understanding of shop math.
• 6 years experience in sheetmetal and/or hydraulic overhaul, avionics/elect repair preferred.

Responsibilities

• Repair and overhaul of mech and elect assemblies per blueprints and manuals.
• Set up and operate test equipment for functional and operational tests.
• Inspect detail parts against blueprints and manuals for conformity.
• Remove skins and components on flight controls and secondary structures as needed.
• Demonstrate repair techniques including troubleshooting and soldering.
• Maintain required paperwork per FAA Repair Station rules.
• Support training of Acft Component Repair Techs.
