Job summary

Gulfstream in Savannah, GA seeks an Advanced Structural Aircraft Technician (Technician III) to perform complex inspection, repair, and modification of aircraft structures in an MRO environment with minimal supervision. You will interpret SRMs and AMMs, evaluate damage, fabricate parts, and ensure airworthiness per FAA standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• A&P license, FCC license, or NCATT cert preferred.
• Able to read/interpret blueprints, engineering documents, and use precision measuring tools.
• Proficient in the operation of all tools and equipment in the department.
• Basic understanding of shop math.
• 4 years of experience in sheetmetal, hydraulic overhaul, or avionics/electrical repair.
• Accredited schooling in electronics and electrical systems may offset some experience requirements.
• Experience with APU removal, installation, and service.

Responsibilities

• Apply advanced skills in procedures, tools, and materials for area of specialization.
• Independently perform repairs of mechanical and electrical assemblies and subassemblies per data.
• Set up and operate test equipment for functional tests and return to service.
• Inspect detail parts to ensure conformity with maintenance data.
• Remove skins and related components on flight controls and secondary structures; install parts.
• Demonstrate expertise in repair techniques including troubleshooting, soldering, and protective coatings.
• Demonstrate use and calibration of precision measuring and inspection tools.
• Maintain paperwork per FAA Repair Station requirements.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
• Comply with safety regulations.
