Job summary

Gulfstream in Savannah, GA is seeking a Senior Aircraft Component Repair Technician for conventional or CNC machining. You will set up machines, read blueprints, train junior machinists, and perform precision repairs to flight controls and related structures.

A minimum of 6 years of experience and appropriate licenses or certifications is preferred; Mazatrol experience is a plus. This role requires strong shop math and the ability to work with CAD models and FAA paperwork.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; A&P/FCC/NCATT preferred.
• Read and interpret blueprints, CMP data, CBs, and ASC.
• 6 years of experience in sheet metal, hydraulic overhaul or avionics repair.

Responsibilities

• Mastery of advanced skills and repair techniques for mechanical and electrical assemblies.
• Set up and operate test equipment for functional and operational tests.
• Inspect parts using blueprints and manuals to ensure conformance.
• Read and interpret drawings, perform repairs, and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Mentor junior technicians and document repairs per FAA requirements.
• Perform, with QC, weight and balance on repaired flight controls.
