Job summary

Tyson Foods is seeking a Senior Manager Procurement (Sourcing & Category Management) to develop category strategies and lead end-to-end sourcing for key spend areas at our Springdale, AR operations.

You will manage supplier relationships, drive cost reductions, and collaborate with Sustainability, Global Security, Operations, and Shared Services to deliver value. The role requires 8+ years in procurement and a Bachelor's degree, with strong communication to influence senior leaders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 8+ years of experience in Procurement or Supply Chain.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience with sourcing software, contract systems, and AI preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute multi-year category strategies based on data and business requirements.
• Lead sourcing events, bid analysis, scoring, and supplier communications.
• Manage strategic supplier relationships and serve as escalation point for performance and risk.
• Collaborate with Sustainability, Environmental, Global Security, Operations, and Shared Services to deliver value.
• Partner with Data Analytics to establish baselines and manage Total Cost of Ownership.
