Job summary

Honda Development & Manufacturing of America in Raymond, OH seeks a Senior Sourcing & Procurement Specialist to lead commodity strategies, manage $300M–$500M in annual desk spend, and negotiate piece prices with automotive suppliers for new vehicle model launches.

You will drive supplier selection, cost reduction targets, BOM cost accuracy, and risk assessment across Tier-1 suppliers while traveling up to 5–10% domestically and internationally.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or technical discipline.
• 2+ years of automotive purchasing, commodity management, or strategic sourcing experience.
• Experience negotiating multi-million dollar contracts using data-driven cost modeling.
• Strong problem-solving, project management, blueprint reading, and supplier relationship skills.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (5-10%).

Responsibilities

• Formulate and execute purchasing commodity strategies for high-complexity parts across 8–10 key tier-1 suppliers.
• Lead competitive supplier selection, commercial negotiations, and target setting for new vehicle models.
• Achieve annual mass production cost reduction (ACR) targets ranging between $7M and $12M.
• Maintain BOM cost accuracy and ensure timely quotation processing.
• Evaluate supplier financial health, production capabilities, and manufacturing risks.
