Sun Life U.S. is seeking a Senior Manager, Stop Loss Underwriting to lead a multi-site Manual Underwriting team. You will manage daily inventory, rushes, and partner expectations, driving performance through coaching and development while applying underwriting guidelines to independent decisions.

You will work with Underwriting and Sales leaders to align priorities with strategic goals, hire and train staff, and implement process improvements for compliant and efficient underwriting practices.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent with 5+ years in Medical Stop Loss or business operations.
• Experience leading an operations team is highly preferred.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and project-management skills.

Responsabilidades

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the Medical Stop Loss manual underwriting team, including workloads and rush requests.
• Collaborate with senior Underwriting and Sales leaders to align work with objectives and guidelines.
• Lead interviewing, selection, and onboarding of Manual Underwriters and temporary staff.
• Provide training, coaching, and mentoring for new hires and contractors.
• Implement process improvements identified via Quality Control reviews.
• Build a high-performing team with clear expectations and development plans.
• Promote compliant, consistent underwriting practices across the team.
• Support ongoing Training and Development to strengthen underwriting knowledge.
• Ensure consistent application of guidelines and sound independent decision-making.
