Qualifications

• 5+ years in Medical Stop Loss or business operations.
• Experience leading an operations team or technical lead role.
• Strong communication and stakeholder partnership skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multi-priority environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day Medical Stop Loss underwriting team operations and priorities.
• Collaborate with Underwriting and Sales leaders to align work with objectives.
• Lead interviewing, selection, and onboarding of manual underwriters and temps.
• Provide ongoing training, coaching, and policy updates as needed.
• Implement process improvements identified through Quality Control reviews.
• Build a high-performing, engaged team with clear expectations and development plans.
• Promote compliant, consistent, and efficient underwriting practices.
• Support Training and Development programs to strengthen knowledge and growth.
• Ensure guidelines are applied with sound judgment and independent decisions.
