Job summary

Cytel Inc. is seeking an experienced RWE analytics professional in Richmond, VA to support the Epidemiology team by preparing Real World data, advising on analytic strategies, and guiding stakeholders across pharma, CRO, and academic collaborations.

Responsibilities include programming analyses, dataset linkage, and development of standardized analyses and reporting. Advanced degree and 5+ years of RWE experience are required, with expertise in SQL, SAS or R, and data sources like Clinformatics

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or PhD in related field and 5+ years of experience conducting RWE analytics for pharma industry, CRO, or academic institution
• Intermediate to expert SQL proficiency; SAS or R required
• Deep expertise analyzing RWE data sources such as Optum Clinformatics Datamart, Truveta, and UK Biobank; experience with clinical trial/registry data desirable
• Familiarity with relational databases and understanding of claims and ancillary file layouts
• Experience with applied statistics including regression analyses, survival analyses, and propensity weighting

Responsibilities

• Assist in development of study protocols and analysis plans using large real-world data sources (Claims and/or EHR)
• Liaise with data vendors to obtain relevant data extracts for research studies
• Create analytical databases from data extracts to facilitate data analyses
• Conduct analyses per study protocols and analysis plans
• Produce tables and figures for discussions with investigators and clients; contribute to study reports
• Present results internally and to clients; assist in preparation of study reports and deliverables
• Potential supervisory responsibilities in the future
