Job summary

Cytel is seeking a seasoned data scientist to join our epidemiology analytics team in the U.S. The role focuses on real-world data (RWD) preparation, analytic strategy, and stakeholder support across epidemiology activities.

You will program and conduct statistical analyses, create analytic databases from data extracts, and generate tables and figures for study reports and client discussions. Collaboration with internal and external partners is essential.

Qualifications

• Master’s or PhD in epidemiology/biostatistics with 5+ years in RWE analytics.
• SQL proficiency required; SAS or R proficiency also required.
• Deep expertise with Optum Clinformatics Datamart, Truveta, and UK Biobank.
• Experience analyzing clinical trial or registry data.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Assist in development of study protocols and analysis plans leveraging large RWD sources (Claims and/or EHR).
• Liaise with data vendors to obtain data extracts for research studies consistent with study protocols.
• Create analytical databases from data extracts to facilitate conduct of data analyses.
• Conduct analyses consistent with methods set forth in study protocols and analysis plans.
• Produce tables and figures for discussions with investigators, clients, and for study reports.
• Present results internally and to clients.
• Assist in the preparation of study reports and other deliverables.
• May have supervisory responsibilities in the future.
