Qualifications

Juris Doctor or Bachelor of Laws from an accredited law school.
Membership in the Florida Bar.
Five years of criminal trial experience.

Responsibilities

Special Counsel serves as POC for designated prosecution areas.
Review and evaluate evidence for prosecution of criminal cases.
Advise investigators and assist in investigations and case preparation, including warrants and affidavits.
Make charging decisions in consultation with the Bureau Chief Assistant Statewide Prosecutor.
Represent the State at bond hearings, trials, and post-trial proceedings.
Coordinate with other divisions and agencies for civil or administrative remedies when needed.
