Acrnet is seeking a Senior Assistant Statewide Prosecutor – Special Counsel to join the Office of Statewide Prosecution in Florida. The role involves serving as a legal adviser, handling prosecutions, and coordinating with agencies to pursue cases.

The position requires a JD or LLB, Florida Bar membership, and at least five years of criminal trial experience, with preference given to candidates with prosecution background.

Qualifications

• Requires JD or LLB from an accredited law school.
• Must be a member of the Florida Bar and have five years of criminal trial experience.
• Preference given to applicants with prosecution experience.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Senior Assistant Statewide Prosecutor – Special Counsel and provide legal advising to the ASP network.
• Review and evaluate evidence for criminal prosecutions and prepare charging documents.
• Coordinate with other divisions and agencies to pursue civil or administrative remedies as needed.
• Represent the State at bond hearings, pre-trial motions, trials, and post-trial proceedings.
• Maintain case documentation and assist in appellate matters and legislative proposals.
