Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Reviewing and evaluating evidence for prosecution of criminal cases.
• Submitting data and recommendations for intake decisions on cases for prosecution.
• Advising investigations and preparing cases for prosecution, including review of warrants and surveillance orders; taking statements; consulting with experts; researching laws.
• Making charging decisions in consultation with the Bureau Chief Assistant.
• Coordinating with other divisions and agencies to pursue civil or administrative remedies as appropriate.
• Preparing and filing charging instruments.
• Coordinating surrender or arrest of defendants on charges filed.
• Representing the State at bond hearings and at calendar calls, at trial, and post-trial proceedings.
