Job summary

The Idaho Division of Human Resources (DHR) seeks an HR Consultant III to provide statewide guidance across talent acquisition, classification and compensation. You will advise agencies on compliant HR practices, develop training materials, and support statewide HR initiatives from a central Boise office.

The role emphasizes analytical problem solving, data analysis, and building strong partnerships with agency HR teams to improve recruitment, job analysis, and compensation decisions.

Qualifications

• Good knowledge of human resource administration and Equal Employment Opportunity concepts.
• Experience analyzing HR management problems and developing alternatives and recommendations.
• Experience providing human resource consultation to management and administrators.
• Knowledge of recruitment methods and test development and validation.
• Experience performing job analyses and developing classification recommendations and Working with HRIS.

Responsibilities

• Resource development, guidance, and training including templates, guidelines, and process documentation.
• Talent acquisition and recruitment support including job postings, sourcing and screening.
• Compensation and classification support including job analyses and updates to classifications and compensation considerations.
• Policy interpretation and HR consultation to ensure statewide consistency and compliance.
• Data analysis and process improvement to identify trends and propose improvements across HR functions.
